NEWVILLE, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's cross country teams took part in the annual Dickinson Long-Short Invitational at Big Spring High School on Saturday, Sept. 28.
Five men competed in the 8K event, with Angel Patino securing the team's top finish in 25th out of 37 total runners thanks to his effort of 31:54.9. Zack Gibson was the squad's next highest finisher in 30th, while Lucas Walthour, Benett Seiler, and Kyle Davis came home 33rd, 34th, and 35th, respectively.
Of the five women who ran the 6K race, it was Melina Dhital who emerged as the group's top finisher 18th place out of 29 total competitors behind her time of 32:11.4. Next up was Layna Horner and Daphne Gomes in 24th and 25th, respectively, while Kaylee Brown and Taylor Nicholas rounded out the Penn State Harrisburg contingency.
The Lions will return to action at the DeSales Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 12.
