Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – After taking a game from No. 15 Shenandoah one day earlier, Penn State Harrisburg baseball stayed perfect in conference play thanks to a pair of victories over North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) foe Penn College on Thursday afternoon, April 15. The Lions took game one 6-1 before completing the sweep with an 11-3 win in the nightcap.

GAME 1

Michael De Leon and Nick Fitzgerald combined to hold Penn College to just one run on four hits and Maddux Ryan drove in four runs in Penn State Harrisburg's game-one win over Penn College on Thursday afternoon.

Ryan opened the scoring with an RBI double that drove in Matt Parks and Matt Isaac in the bottom of the second. A Wildcat error later in the frame allowed Ryan to score and Chase Smith's RBI double plated Robbie Skinner to make it 4-0 after two.

Penn College got on the board in the third thanks to an error that allowed an unearned run to score but Ryan struck again in the bottom of the stanza and his second double of the game drove in Casey Winters and Parks to push the advantage to five.

GAME 2

In the second outing of Thursday's doubleheader, Penn State Harrisburg used a big fifth inning to break open a close game and comfortably complete the sweep of Penn College.

After the visitors used a two-run home run to draw to within 5-3 in the top of the fifth, the Lions batted around in the bottom half and used six hits, a walk, a Penn College error, and a wild pitch to score six runs and put things out of reach.

The Blue & White scored their first run on a wild pitch in the first but the Wildcats pulled even in the top of the third. Bret Williams broke the tie with an RBI single in the bottom of the third and Casey Winters followed it up with a double that plated Chase Smith. Matt Isaac's sacrifice fly brought Winters across and pushed the advantage to 5-1 after three.
