Penn State Harrisburg Drops Match to Juniata

Hunington, Pa- Penn State Harrisburg men's and women's tennis teams both dropped their season openers to Juniata on Friday afternoon. Despite a hard-fought effort from the Lions, Eagles proved to be too much for them. 

The Men's Tennis team lost by a team score of 7-2, with the team of Ben Rusling and Alex Rohn picking up a doubles win (8-6). Austin Stehman also picked up a singles win over Juniata's Rob Kauffman by a score of (7-6, 6-0). Despite coming out on the losing end, Paul Banka managed to win a set in his singles matchup and Ryan McCurdy and Jared Gluck push thier doubles matchup to 5 tiebreakers before falling (9-8).  

Penn State Harrisburg Women's Tennis fell by a team score of 1-8. Abby Clifford picked up the Lions lone team point when she won a highly competive singles match over Juniata's Grace Lewis (7-5, 7-6(4)). The women's team was also highly competetive winning eight games from the Eagles in doubles matchups, and taking 6 games in the other five singles matches. 

Penn State Harrisburg Men's and Women's Tennis team will have thier home openers on Wednesday September 27 when they face Albright College at 3:30 PM
