Harrisburg Clutches First Conference Win

Frostburg, Md.- The Penn State Harrisburg men's tennis team grabbed their first conference win of the season this afternoon against Frostburg State.

Doubles partners Tyler Cook (Harve de Grace, Md. / Harve de Grace) and James Moore (Lewisburg, Pa. / Lewisburg Area) dominated the Bobcats, 8-1, in the first doubles match for the Lions. Marco Guerrero (Delran, N.J / Deliah) and Ethan Finger (Lancaster, Pa. / Conestoga Valley) grabbed Harrisburg's second doubles win, 8-4. Cook also brought home a win in his singles match, 6-1, 6-3.

Freshman Austin Pokopec (York, Pa. / Central York) defeated Jackson Rost 6-3 and 6-1 for Harrisburg's fourth win of the afternoon. Finger defeated Rodrigo Valenzuela after three sets, 6-4, 1-6, and 6-3 for his second win of the day. The Lion's improved to 5-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
 
Harrisburg returns to action on Wednesday March 30th when they travel to St. Mary's. The match is slated for 3:30 pm.
