Jalil Clayton '24 - Men's Track & Field

The most versatile men's track & field athlete in program history, Jalil Clayton was also one of the most successful. The Chester, Pa. native qualified for more NCAA Championships than any athlete in program history, appearing in four outdoor events and making one indoor appearance. A talented hurdler, sprinter, and jumper, he racked up a dozen U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honors, won five Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Championships, and captured seven Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Titles during his career. His 2018-19 campaign was as good as any in program history, with Clayton earning CAC Athlete of the Year honors in both indoor and outdoor competition before being named the ECAC Outdoor Most Outstanding Performer that spring. Clayton's efforts coincided with the program's rise to national prominence in the late 2010's and he still holds program records in 11 combined indoor and outdoor events.
