Jack Wilson '81 - Men's Basketball
Arriving at Penn State Harrisburg for the school's first-ever season of NAIA competition, Jack Wilson was one of the most prolific men's basketball players of the first wave of intercollegiate athletics. A transfer from Penn State Schuylkill and eventual 2,000-point career scorer, he netted more than 1,000 of them in just two seasons at Penn State Harrisburg, while quickly rewriting the program record book during his time in Middletown. He averaged an impressive 26.2 points and 13.2 rebounds per game during his first season at Penn State Harrisburg and led the NAIA's District 19 in both statistical categories midway through his junior campaign. During his final season in 1980-81, he continued his torrid pace by setting the program's single-game scoring record (49 points), pulling down a single-game record 21 rebounds in a contest against Lancaster Bible, and twice being named the NAIA Player of the Week for his efforts.
