Field Hockey Ends Non-Conference Play With Setback at York (Pa.)

YORK, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's field hockey team closed out the non-conference portion of its schedule with a 5-0 setback at York (Pa.) on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 26. 


The Spartans (5-3) got on the board quickly, netting the game's first goal less than 90 seconds into the contest before doubling the advantage with another score in the fourth minute. York tacked on a third goal four minutes later and added a fourth goal in the opening quarter in the 11th minute. 


Anna Moyer got off a shot on goal late in the second quarter but York goalkeeper Marissa Brege made the stop. Astrid Comp had an attempt on frame midway through the third quarter but she was unable to find the back of the cage. The Spartans added one last goal in the third to cap the game's scoring. 


NOTABLES
- The Spartans outshot Penn State Harrisburg 18-4 overall and 12-2 in shots on target.
- York finished with a 6-2 advantage in penalty corners. 
- Comp got off a team-high three shots for the Lions, including one shot on frame. 
- Moyer accounted for the team's only other shot on goal. 
- Nisa Kece made five stops in goal in 30 minutes of action. 
- Ace Lewis made a pair of saves in 29 minutes played.
