GETTYSBURG, PA – The Penn State Harrisburg Men's tennis team dropped a close 3-4 matchup to the Bullets of Gettysburg Friday afternoon.
DOUBLES
Wheeler/Cuturic accounted for the only doubles win on court one, winning in a set tiebreak 7-6(3). Pawar/Flack lost 2-6 on court two and Opitz/Lines lost 1-6 on court three as the teams headed into singles play.
SINGLES
The top three singles players for Harrisburg prevailed to give the Lions three points in the match.
Cooper Wheeler took down Gettysburg's McPartland 6-3, 6-3 on court one and
Damir Cuturic took down Porreca 6-4, 6-4 on court three.
Ved Pawar outlasted Burgess 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 on court two as that would be the final court the Lions would get on the afternoon.
On courts four through six, it was Gettysburg winning in straight sets easily on every court. Opitz lost 0-6, 2-6, Flack lost 0-6, 1-6, and Rivino lost 1-6, 1-6 respectively on courts 4, 5, and 6.
