The second quarter opened just like the first when McCarthy scored her third marker off a helper from Howry just 57 seconds into the period. The freshman made it four goals before halftime with another strike with 6:17 left before the break.
Astrid Comp got into the scoring act just 1:34 seconds into the third quarter off a penalty corner insertion from Castano Colman and a helper from Moyer. Little more than a minute later, Castano Colman found the back of the cage, this time off a find from McCarthy. Makayla Ressel put the finishing touches on the scoring with a goal off a Sadie Cook feed with 10:45 left to play.
