MIDDLETOWN, Pa. -
Ami Mattingly's historic night fueled Penn State Harrisburg's field hockey team's 3-2 overtime victory against Moravian on Wednesday afternoon, September 17.
Mattingly became the program's all-time leading scorer on her first marker of the night, and added another to tie the game up 2-2 in the fourth quarter to force the contest into overtime. In extras,

Mattingly spearheaded the offensive effort for Penn State Harrisburg (5-1) in the opening quarter, taking multiple shots on goal within the first three minutes, all of which were saved by Moravian goalkeeper Maia Machado. The home team continued to press as Mattingly fired another shot wide at 4:24, and yet again tested Machado just minutes later. Victoria Castano contributed to the offensive push with a penalty corner at 3:17, while goalie
Macenzie Mulholland was instrumental in maintaining a scoreless draw, making a crucial save against Moravian's Maddie Snyder following a late penalty corner.

Penn State-Harrisburg's Castano responded with a penalty corner at 24:46, but the team was unable to convert the opportunity into a goal before the end of the quarter. Despite Ambrosino scoring for the second time in the third quarter thanks to an assist from Samantha Culver, the home team quickly responded when Mattingly capitalized on a penalty stroke, marking her tenth goal of the season and narrowing the score to 2-1 going into the last frame.
