LANCASTER, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's women's earned a 7-0 sweep over Lancaster Bible on Saturday afternoon, April 5.


The Lions (9-5, 4-1 United East) took all three doubles matches, starting with Breanna DeSantis and Allison Wootton who defeated Lancaster Bible's Sierra Hartmann and Natalie Hoover 6-0 in the top outing. The No. 2 duo of Sarah Shaub and Anita Liu held off Becky Dimov and Janie Weist in a 6-2 victory, while Carrisa Fallon and Hailey Dey got the win in the No. 3 slot due to a Chargers forfeit.


It was more of the same in singles action, as Wootton went over Hartmann 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 1 matchup, while DeSantis earned a 6-3, 6-0 win over Weist in the second outing. In the third contest, Liu worked hard for a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Hoover and Dey handled Dimov in a 6-0, 6-0 decision in the No. 4 matchup. The day ended with a pair of forfeit victories in favor of Shaub and Karina Ko in the fifth and sixth matches, respectively.


Penn State Harrisburg is set to travel to Penn College on Wednesday, April 9 for another United East contest at 1 p.m.
