LANCASTER, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's tennis team extended their win streak to four in a 7-0 win over United East opponent Lancaster Bible on Saturday afternoon, April 5.
The Lions (9-5, 4-0 United East) got ahead early in doubles action, starting with No. 1 duo of Cooper Wheeler and Damir Cuturic who defeated Lancaster Bible's Cameron Tripp and Josh Jarvis 6-0. Andrew Schreck and Peng Mark Hou secured a 6-0 win over Austin King and Cole Scheihing in the No. 2 outing, while Clayton Herb and Derwin Merca rounded out doubles competition with a forfeit victory in the third contest.
Penn State Harrisburg continued to impress in singles action, as Wheeler started in the No. 1 spot and secured a victory of 6-0, 6-4 over Jarvis. Cuturic earned the win over Tripp 6-0, 7-5 in the second contest, Merca picked up a 6-1, 6-2 victory in the No. 3 slot, and Herb topped King 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 4 slot. Schreck got the last singles win of the afternoon, which ended 6-0, 6-2 over Kelly. The sixth matchup that included Michael Rivino ended in a forfeit win in favor of the Lions.
The Blue & White travel to Penn College on Wednesday afternoon, April 9 for another conference contest at 1 p.m.
