Men's Basketball's Recent Win Streak Ends at York (Pa.)

YORK, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's basketball team saw its recent four-game win streak come to an end with a 76-56 non-conference setback at York (Pa.) on Monday afternoon, Dec. 30.

Chris Henderson led the way with a team-high 19 points, while Isaiah Eggleston added 16 of his own. No other Penn State Harrisburg player managed more than five points on the day.

The Spartans (6-3) used the 3-ball to set the tone in the opening half, shooting 50 percent from beyond the arc in the first 20 minutes. Leading 8-7 at the 16:24 mark, York used a pivotal 14-2 run over the ensuing six minutes to create some separation and pull ahead by 13 with 9:02 left before halftime.

The Lions (6-6) used a layup from Eggleston and an old-fashioned 3-point play from Henderson to cut the deficit back to single digits at the 7:54 mark but the 3-point barrage continued for the home team as the Spartans answered with four straight triples to stretch the lead to 34-16 before taking a 43-24 advantage into the break.

Penn State Harrisburg tried to climb back into it early in the second half thanks to a layup from Larry Onabanwo and another 3-point play from Henderson that cut the deficit to 15 at the 17:51 mark but York responded with an 11-2 run that pushed the lead to a game-high 24 points and essentially put the game out of reach.

NOTABLES
- York shot 44.4 percent from 3-point range, while the Lions shot just 23.5 percent from distance.
