MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer team battled to a scoreless draw on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 19 against United East Conference opponent St. Mary's (Md.).
Penn State Harrisburg (7-4-5, 5-0-1 United East) proved to be the aggressor on Saturday afternoon, as the home team tallied nine total shots compared to only two from the Seahawks (13-1-4, 5-0-1 United East) over the course of the contest. St. Mary's goalkeeper Kyleigh Bland made four saves, while Sydney Mulka was only forced to save one shot on the day in goal.
The Lions saw their best chance to score on a one-on-one opportunity by Julia Hughes in the 51st minute, however Hughes just tapped it wide right just outside the goal frame. Although the home team had a handful of other shots on goal, Penn State Harrisburg was unable to convert in 90 minutes of play.
