READING, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer team used a pair of second half goals to pull away from conference foe Penn State Berks in a 3-1 road victory on Wednesday night, Oct. 16.
Katelyn Monette converted the game-winning goal, while Serenity Hill and Diana Pon also found the back of the net. Kylie Anne Yap and Ciera Frick each added assists.
Penn State Harrisburg (7-4-3, 5-0-0 United East) struck first early in the opening half when Hill finished off a feed from Yap in the 15th minute.
Penn State Berks (4-8-2, 3-1-1 United East) got off just one shot on the day but made the most of it when Isabelle Wilkes netted the equalizer in the 29th minute.
Things remained tied well into the second half but a quick barrage resulted in back-to-back tallies for the visitors, the first coming when Frick found Monette for what proved to be the game winner in the 69th minute before Pon put her attempt past Penn State Berks goalkeeper Sophia Gonzalez less than six minutes later to create more than enough breathing room to keep Penn State Harrisburg undefeated in conference play.
