Men's Soccer Shuts Out Valley Forge In Home Finale

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's men's soccer team bounced back from its first conference loss of the season by shutting out United East foe Valley Forge 5-0 on Tuesday night, Oct. 22.

Colin O'Hara netted a pair of goals, while Dylan Ratjavong finished with one marker and one assist. Brandon Axton and Liam Gohn added one goal apiece and the defensive unit did not allow a shot on goal in the win.

The home team got on the board first when Ratjavong fired home a pretty attempt off a feed from Griffen Martello in the 21st minute. The Lions (13-4-1, 6-1-0 United East) doubled the advantage in the 34th minute when Axton put his attempt past Valley Forge goalkeeper Juan Garcia Flores to give the Penn State Harrisburg a multiple-goal cushion at halftime.

After the break, O'Hara converted his first goal of the night with Ratjavong providing the assist less than four minutes after the break. He added his second marker 10 minutes later after Kobe Harris won a ball from a Patriot defender and found Jaden Longdon for one-touch pass that resulted in a lofted score in the 58th minute.

Gohn put a cap on the game's scoring in the 69th minute when he finished off a hard ball from Aidan McWilliams in the right side of the net.
