ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's women's tennis team completed the fall portion of its 2024-25 schedule with a convincing 6-1 victory at Penn State Altoona on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 9.
The visiting Lions (3-2) needed just two wins in doubles action to claim the overall point and take an advantage into singles play. Solo play was a similar story for Penn State Harrisburg, with Wootton rolling to a 6-0, 6-0 sweep of Blessel in the No. 1 showdown, while DeSantis had to work a little harder for a 7-5, 6-4 win over Rachel Stricek in the second singles contest. Liu cruised past Abigail Morton 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 3 outing, Dey bested Fulton 6-2, 7-5 in the No. 4 pairing, and Ellen Muganyizi earned a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Colaianni in the No. 5 contest.
