ANNVILLE, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's tennis team secured its second straight victory when it bested Lebanon Valley 4-3 in non-conference action at the Shankroff Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 3.
The Lions (3-1) took two of three doubles matches to capture the overall point and grab an early advantage heading into solo competition. Peng Hou and Kevin Liang teamed up for a 6-4 win over LVC's Zach Schrader and Adam Warren in the No. 1 contest, while a 6-3 victory by Damir Cuturic and Derwin Merca over Colin Brusse and Jake Erb in the No. 3 pairing sealed the overall doubles point for the visitors.
Singles action saw Hou roll to a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Schrader in the top matchup, while Liang made quick work of Warren in a 6-1, 6-2 win against Warren in the No. 2 contest. Cuturic quickly bested Erb 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 3 pairing to clinch the overall match victory for Penn State Harrisburg.
The Lions wrap up their fall competition when they host Goucher at the Hoverter Tennis Complex on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 16.
