MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg men's soccer head coach Anthony Gehman has announced the program's incoming class for the 2022 season. The dynamic group is comprised of 17 players who will join a collection of experienced returners from a squad coming off back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, two consecutive conference championships, and 30 wins over the past two seasons.

Malachi Abma
Previous Club: Baltimore Celtic ECNL/Club
Coach Gehman's Take: "Malachi is a strong center back out of Gettysburg, Pa. He earned a laundry list of accolades at the high school level. He is a competitor, well put together, and he loves to lay a hard tackle. Malachi has great leadership qualities and that is exactly what we look for in a center back. He will be one of the strongest kids on the field."
Alexander Benbatoul
Previous Club: Virginia Valor
Coach Gehman's Take: "Alexander is a skilled, technical midfielder from Briar Woods, Va. He was an All-Potomac selection and he showed his value by leading his high school team to the state finals. We are excited to be adding a winner like Alexander. He is going to find himself on the field racking up awards during his four years at Penn State Harrisburg."
Ethan Cortes
Previous School: St. Peters University
Coach Gehman's Take: "Ethan is a ridiculous athlete and his experience at the Division I level will be massive for our success this fall. He holds high school and district record for goals scored and he is a former All-State First-Team selection. Ethan is going be a force on the pitch for us, he will find the net many times no doubt, and we look forward to having him."
Marco Ferri
Previous Club: Rochester Rush
Coach Gehman's Take: "Marco is a talented central midfielder from Rochester, N.Y. He has a very high ceiling and shows a high-level work ethic. We are excited to be adding a player like Marco, who adds a level of intensity that will be crucial to our training atmosphere."
Dillion Gough
Previous Club: FC USA
Coach Gehman's Take: "Dillion is a tenacious left back. He is a highly-touted recruit from Maryland who competes for FC USA and ODP team. Dillion is going be a force in the back, his left foot is special, and he will find the back of the net often."
Kobe Harris
Previous School: Wingate University
Coach Gehman's Take: "Kobe comes to us from Wingate University, a winning Division II program in North Carolina. He is a dynamic winger who loves to take people 1v1 and has incredible pace for a 6-2 individual. Kobe will add a level of experience and excitement to our attack.He's a handful and we are grateful he chose us to finish out his college career."
Rich Lockard
Previous Club: New Jersey ODP
Coach Gehman's Take: "Rich comes to us from New Jersey and is a long, athletic goalkeeper. His ability to come out and win balls in the air, along with his shot-blocking ability, is going to be huge in our future success. We are excited to have a guy like Rich. He is a person everyone wants to be around and he happens to be a very talented goalkeeper."
Rhyan Louis
Previous Club: North Broward Prep
Coach Gehman's Take: "Rhyan is a strong, athletic defender with pace from Port-au-Prince, Haiti. His ability to win balls in the air, take players 1v1, and win tackles is fantastic. We are excited to be adding a dynamic defender like Rhyan, who has represented his country and has had great success in prep school."
Jordan Perkins
Previous School: Mount St. Mary's University
Coach Gehman's Take: "Jordan comes from Mount St. Mary's, where he was a force for them in the back line. His athletic ability is special and he is a shut-down outside back. Jordan played MLS Next with a strong Bethesda Soccer Club in the academy world. He is going play a huge role for us in the back and he is a guy who will play a big part in making our team culture special."
Anson Portzline
Previous Club: CASA
Coach Gehman's Take: "Anson is a class finisher with the ability to score a bunch of goals in a hurry from Juniata County, Pa. That is evident by the fact that he holds district and high-school records for career goals. Anson will be a major piece in our attacking for years to come. We are excited to see him develop into a special college player."
Dylan Ratjavong
Previous Club: PA Classics Elite Blue
Coach Gehman's Take: "Dylan is a masterful midfielder on the ball. He comes to us from Lancaster, Pa after earning multiple accolades in high school, including a Lancaster-Lebanon All-Conference First-Team nod. Dylan is going be a handful to defend in the midfield and wide spaces. He is pacey, tricky, and flashy."
Josh Rodgers
Previous Club: CASA
Coach Gehman's Take: "Josh comes to us from State College, Pa. He is a hardworking, talented midfielder out of State College High School. He loves to take people 1v1 and he has a very high soccer IQ. We are excited for Josh to be joining the team. His brother, Marc, has been a force for us and adding Josh will make it even better. I am excited for them to connect on the field."
Daniel Rossiter
Previous Club: Parksfield FC
Coach Gehman's Take: "Daniel Rossiter is a dynamic center midfielder from London, England. He has worked his way through the academy ranks, finding his home with Parksfield FC. We are excited to be adding Daniel to our incoming class because he brings a lot of experience to the table, as well as a unique skillset that will be massive for our program."
Jonathan Ruiz
Previous Club: TSF Academy MLS NEXT
Coach Gehman's Take: "Jonathan is a winner. He has shown that through his time at Bellville High School in N.J. and his time at TSF Academy. His ability to command a midfield and show flashes of brilliance on the ball is something we are excited for him to bring to our program."
Harrison Shaller
Previous Club: New Jersey Stallion MLS NEXT
Coach Gehman's Take: "Harrison is a top-20 rated player from New Jersey and it shows. He is a technical, 1v1 specialist who thrives off the counter and runs at people with pace. We are thrilled to be bringing Harrison to our program. He adds an exciting skillset that includes deception, 1v1 prowess, and goal scoring."
Jacob Tankersley
Previous School: University of West Florida
Coach Gehman's Take: "Jacob is a highly-competitive technical midfielder from the University of West Florida. He is a flashy, athletic middie who has an endless amount of energy. We are excited to add Jacob, as he is brilliant on the ball and he has an endless motor on him."
Daniel Tittlemayer
Previous School: Arcadia University
Coach Gehman's Take: "Daniel is an all-region player from Arcadia. He is a flashy, 1v1 specialist with a unique ability to find players running in behind. Daniel is a class player who will have our midfield running on all cylinders. His experience in leadership will be massive for our younger players."
