Conor Woods enters his fourth year as head assistant coach for Penn State Harrisburg’s men’s soccer program in 2025.
Most recently in 2024, Woods helped guide the program to 14 wins and a postseason run that ended in the semifinal round of the United East Tournament. As a group, Penn State Harrisburg ranked top-30 in the nation in a number of statistical categories, including goal differential, goals scored, goals against average and shutout percentage. Individually, seven players secured United East All-Conference honors, while Kobe Harris and Alden Reeves earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District recognition.
In 2023, Woods helped lead the program to the United East Volt Division Championship Game after the Lions went undefeated (3-0-3) in conference play. A pair of players in Daniel Fombu and Jaden Longdon earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region 4 Third Team recognition, while the duo was joined by teammates Marc Rodgers, Alex Afata and Hossam Aly as United East All-Conference honorees.
During his first season on the sideline in 2022, Woods helped lead Penn State Harrisburg to its third straight NCAA Tournament appearance and third consecutive conference championship. The Lions finished undefeated in conference play (6-0-2) and defeated top-seeded St. Mary's (Md.) in penalty kicks in the United East Championship Game. Penn State Harrisburg ranked sixth in the nation in scoring offense, seventh in the country in total goals, ninth in Division III in points per game, and 10th in the nation in total points. Individually, Harris (second team) and Luke Myers (third team) earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region honors, while the pair was joined by teammates Fombu, Jon Gartley and Daniel Rossiter as United East All-Conference selections.
Woods joined Penn State Harrisburg after a stint at Millikin University, where he served as head goalkeeper coach for the Big Blue. In addition to his on-field responsibilities, he was heavily involved in player development, recruiting, and program operations.
Prior to his time at Millikin, Woods served as an assistant coach for Knaresborough Town AFC’s Men’s Reserve Team in the United Kingdom.
He began his coaching career as a student assistant on the staff of Mount Aloysius College, his alma mater, following an injury that cut his playing career short. In his three seasons as a Mount Aloysius assistant, the Mounties compiled a 46-13-3 overall record and reached the Allegheny Mountain Conference Championship (AMCC) Final Four each season. Woods oversaw the program’s goalkeepers and took the helm of scouting operations in the fall of 2019. He also led team training sessions, assisted with offseason strength and conditioning programs, and conducted individual training sessions with student-athletes.
During his two seasons as a player for Mount Aloysius, Woods contributed as an outside back and was a member of the school’s 2015 AMCC Championship team. The 2015 title was the first conference championship in the program’s history.
Woods graduated from Mount Aloysius in 2019.
