MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's women's volleyball team took the opening set from Dickinson before falling in four at the Capital Union Building on Tuesday night, Sept. 15. The Lions dropped the match by set scores of 17-25, 25-18, 25-14, and 25-17.
Brianna Ondishin Ribon racked up a team-high 15 digs and nine kills, while Mackenzy Miller and Abigail Frownfelter recored 16 assists apiece. Chase Deliazard had eight kills, while Emily Miller and Camryn Wettstone added seven each. Kate Bukowski chipped in with 10 digs.
Penn State Harrisburg (4-4) jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the opening set thanks to a block from Deliazard but the Red Devils (5-2) clawed back to take an early 7-6 advantage. The Lions used a 4-0 spurt capped by back-to-back Emily Miller kills to pull back in front at 12-9 before creating much of their breathing room late, when a pair of Nicole Dos Santos service aces made it 22-16. Bukowski added an ace of her own and Deliazard closed out the first-set victory with a kill off a feed from Frownfelter before Dickinson stormed back to win the final three sets.
