LATHAM, N.Y. – Penn State Harrisburg field hockey has been selected to finish as the runner-up in the United East Preseason Coaches' Poll.
The Lions ranked second in the poll and received three first place votes after going 13-3 and making a memorable run to the United East Championship Game last season—just the second in program history. Penn State Harrisburg returns five all-conference players from a year ago this fall, including first-teamers
Sadie Cook,
Macenzie Mulholland, and
Sara Yeselavage, as well as second-team picks
Astrid Comp and
Bailey Rucker.
The defending conference champions from St. Mary's (Md.) topped the coaches' poll and earned five first-place votes. Newcomer Immaculata was tabbed third, while Gwynedd Mercy and Wilson rounded out the top five in a tie for fourth.
The Lions are set to open their 2026 campaign at non-conference foe Albright on Wednesday night, Sept. 2.
