MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Thanks to their success on the field and in the classroom this season, Penn State Harrisburg field hockey players Ami Mattingly and Sara Yeselavage have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

In her final collegiate season and first with Penn State Harrisburg, Mattingly proved one of the top offensive threats in the country. The graduate transfer led the nation in goals per game (1.69) and ranked second in points per contest (3.69) while setting single-season program records for total points (59) and goals scored (27). For her efforts, she earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Region Second Team recognition after being named the United East Player of the Year and securing first-team all-conference honors. The Mechanicsburg, Pa. native converted seven game-winning goals, recorded three hat tricks, and set the single-game program record for total points when she scored three markers and added a pair of assists in a midseason victory over Lancaster Bible. She was named an NFHCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention in early September and was tabbed the United East Offensive Player of the Week three times this fall.

Mattingly has also been strong academically, posting a 3.96 graduate GPA as a Health Administration major. She's a four-time NFHCA Scholar of Distinction, a five-time conference all-academic team honoree, and she was named the 2026 Penn State Harrisburg Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Yeselavage anchored a back line that surrendered just .88 goals per game and recorded eight shutouts on the season. The Harrisburg, Pa. native was a key contributor to a defensive unit that held opponents to just 72 shots on goal this fall and she was named to the United East All-Conference First Team for her efforts. The sophomore added one goal and an assist to tally three points on the year. She was named the United East Defensive Player of the Week in early September.

She's also been excellent in the classroom during her first two years at Penn State Harrisburg, holding a 3.94 cumulative GPA as an Accounting major. Yeselavage earned NFHCA Scholar of Distinction honors this fall to go along with a pair of NFHCA National Academic Squad accolades and two United East All-Academic Team plaudits.
