Mannino Clinches it! Women's Tennis Wins Thanks to Mannino's Heroics!

LANGHORNE, PA – Penn State Harrisburg Women's tennis won a thrilling 4-3 match against Cairn on Wednesday, April 8, and have yet to drop a conference match this season.

DOUBLES
K. Strohecker/Shepps teamed up for the 6-3 win on court one, while Anderson/M. Strohecker earned the 6-4 win on court two to take the doubles point. The team of Ko/Gard dropped their match 6-7(4) on court three. 

SINGLES
Cairn came out the gates firing in singles, winning courts one-three to take a 3-1 lead. K. Strohecker lost 3-6, 1-6 on court one while Shepps lost 0-6, 2-6 on court two. Anderson fell in a tough three set battle 3-6, 6-2, 4-6, leaving it up for singles four, five, and six.

Megan Strohecker was the first to finish with a 7-6(7), 6-2 win on court four. Ko found herself down 0-3 in each set but rallied with a 7-5, 6-3 win to tie the match up at 3-3. It all came down to Rosalia Mannino.

Mannino clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-3 win to give Harrisburg the thrilling 4-3 win against Cairn.

UP NEXT
The women will travel to Gettysburg to take on the Bullets on April 10.
