MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's women's tennis team concluded the 2025-26 season with a 4-0 loss to Penn College in a United East Tournament Semifinal matchup.
Penn College (9-10) secured the overall doubles point with victories in the top two contests.
Ava Shepps and
Kiersten Strohecker were topped by Lauren Peck and Faith Murray 6-2 in the No. 1 spot before
Karly Anderson and
Megan Strohecker dropped a 6-0 decision to Leah Vest and Kiera Wene in the second contest. The No. 3 matchup with Karino Ko and
Aubrey Gard going up against Cierra Miller and Eliza Welshans was left unfinished with a 4-2 advantage for Penn State Harrisburg (9-8).
In singles action, M. Strohecker was bested by Murray 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 3 spot, Anderson fell to Vest 6-1, 6-4 in the No. 4 pairing, and
Rosalia Mannino lost to Miller 6-0, 6-3 in the No. 6 contest. Shepps, K. Strohecker, and Ko all concluded their respective matches unfinished.
