MIDDLETOWN, PA – The Penn State Harrisburg Women's Tennis team completed the conference regular season with a 7-0 sweep of Notre Dame College (Md.) late on Friday afternoon. The win clinched the No. 2 seed in the upcoming United East Tournament.
DOUBLES
Harrisburg raced out to easy doubles wins by way of 6-0, 6-0, and 6-1 from Shepps/K. Strohecker, Anderson/M. Strohecker, and Ko/Gard.
SINGLES
The Lions didn't drop a set in singles play either, with K. Strohecker, Anderson, Ko, and Mannino winning 6-0, 6-0 in their respective matches. M. Strohecker would win her match 6-0, 6-2 while Shepps earned a hard fought 6-2, 7-6(2) win on court one.
UP NEXT
The Lions will host non-conference opponent Messiah next Thursday in Middletown. First serve is set for 3:30 PM.
