LATHAM, N.Y. - Thanks to his efforts in game one of a series victory over the weekend, Penn State Harrisburg's Fisher Druck has been named the United East Pitcher of the Week.
Druck was outstanding in his second start of the young season, helping lead the Lions to a 6-4 victory over UMass Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon. The senior did not surrender a run and allowed just two hits and two walks in the series opener. The Lancaster, Pa. native racked up a season-high nine strikeouts in six innings of work to record his first win of the spring and secure the 20th win of his career.
Penn State Harrisburg is set for a three-game, weekend series at No. 22 Christopher Newport beginning on Saturday afternoon.
