MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Following the team's three-game, season-opening series last weekend, Penn State Harrisburg remains ranked in the most recent D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25 Poll.
The Lions (2-1) took two of three games from North Carolina Wesleyan to open the 2026 campaign last weekend and checked in at No. 23 in the latest D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25 Poll. After falling in the season opener, Penn State Harrisburg responded by closing out the weekend with consecutive victories, including a decisive 18-3 win in the series finale on Saturday afternoon.
At the plate,
Braeden Piotrowski,
Demetre Koutras III and
Coy Schwanger are each posting an OPS of more than .900 to begin the spring, while pitchers
Jack Maguire and
Sam Thompson currently hold an ERA less than 2.30 to start the season.
Penn State Harrisburg is scheduled to host UMass Dartmouth for a three-game weekend series beginning with doubleheader action on Saturday afternoon.
