MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's men's basketball team dropped a 77-54 decision to conference foe Lancaster Bible in each team's regular season finale at the Capital Union Building on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 14.
Dylan Moore racked up a dozen points, six rebounds, three blocks and a pair of steals, while
Chris Henderson Jr. tallied 14 points and five boards off the bench.
Isaiah Milien was the third player to reach double figures with 10 points, four assists and four steals, while
Jordan Spencer flirted with a double-double with eight points and eight rebounds.
A defensive struggle to begin the game changed shape when Lancaster Bible (19-6, 11-2 United East) put together a 9-0 run midway through the opening half to build a 19-6 lead at the 11:15 mark. The Lions (15-10, 10-3 United East) struggled to score over the ensuing minutes, while the visitors strung together another offensive spurt en route to building a 44-19 advantage with 3:20 left before the break.
From there, Penn State Harrisburg put together a gutsy rally, scoring the next 10 straight points to cut the deficit to 15 with 42 seconds remaining in the half. The Chargers pushed their advantage back to 19 early in the second but the Lions answered with another run, this time of the 9-0 variety. Moore sparked the spurt with a 3-ball and followed with a layup before four consecutive points from Henderson pulled the home team to within 50-40 with 15:40 left to play.
Penn State Harrisburg had its chances to cut the deficit to single digits but the offense went cold and the visitors were able to push their lead back to 20 with 10 minutes remaining and keep the Lions at arm's length the rest of the way.
