LATHAM, N.Y. - Thanks to her strong play in the team's most recent contest, Penn State Harrisburg field hockey player Sara Yeselavage has been named the United East Defensive Player of the Week.

Yeselavage helped anchor Penn State Harrisburg's back line in a 3-0 shutout victory over Immaculata in the team's conference opener on Friday night. The junior center back helped limit the Mighty Macs to five shots on goal as the Lions secured their third shutout of the season. The team captain also contributed offensively, converting her first goal of the season early in the fourth quarter to cap the game's scoring.

The Lions continue conference play when they host defending the United East champions from St. Mary's (Md.) on Wednesday afternoon.
