MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's field hockey team will host the 2026 United East Championship Game after defeating Wilson 5-2 in conference tournament semifinal action on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 31.
Victoria Castano Colman and Anna Moyer both scored a pair of goals to lead the way for Penn State Harrisburg (11-5), while Alysa McCarthy added a marker of her own. Astrid Comp had a trio of assists, Sadie Cook finished with two helpers, and Moyer added another.
The Lions scored the game's first goal nearly 10 minutes into the contest thanks to a cross from Comp and a tap from Cook that found Castano Colman directly in front of the goal. The latter finished it off to put the home team on the board first. Wilson (6-9) tied the game two minutes later when Danica Frushour scored off an assist from Kate Seymour. Penn State Harrisburg earned a penalty corner with less than 30 seconds left in the first quarter. After Castano Colman put the ball into play, Moyer found Comp who found Colman for her second goal of the day.
After a scoreless second quarter, McCarthy extended the lead 3-1 with an unassisted marker less than four minutes into the second half. The Lions put up another insurance goal nine minutes later thanks to a penalty corner insertion from Cook, an assist by Comp, and a strike from Moyer.
The Phoenix cut the deficit to two with a marker from Seymour early in the fourth quarter but Moyer wasted no time pushing the advantage back to three scores when she blasted an attempt past Wilson goalkeeper Erin Sullivan off a feed from Cook less than two minutes later to cap the game's scoring and send Penn State Harrisburg back to the conference title game for the second year in a row.
