Field Hockey Keeps Rolling With Shutout of Lancaster Bible

LANCASTER, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's field hockey team won its third straight game in impressive fashion, shutting out conference foe Lancaster Bible 4-0 to remain unbeaten in United East play on Saturday evening, Oct. 10.

Alysa McCarthy scored a pair of goals, while Charlotte Grove and Sadie Cook netted one apiece. Lily Howry and Anna Moyer each recorded an assist, while Macenzie Mulholland and Nisa Kece combined for the shutout in goal.

The Lions (7-5, 3-0 United East) got out of the gate strong and struck right away when Grove finished off a pass from Howry from point-blank range to put the visitors ahead 1-0 just 3:24 into the contest. Before the half was through, McCarthy gave Penn State Harrisburg some breathing room with back-to-back goals. She netted her first in the 25th minute and followed with her second off a feed from Moyer just 49 seconds later.

Cook put the finishing touches on the game's scoring when she found the back of the cage in the closing minutes to make it 4-0 with just 3:40 left to play.
