Women's Soccer Announces Incoming Class For 2026

1/12/2026 10:00:00 AM

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer head coach Brandon West has announced the program's incoming class for the 2026 season. The group is comprised of seven talented players and will join a collection of experienced returners coming off an historic 2025 campaign that saw the Lions win a program-record 16 games, capture a second consecutive conference championship, secure a pair of NCAA Tournament victories and make the first trip to the NCAA Round of 16 in school history.

"I am very excited to have this class joining our program this fall. They all are great competitors on the field but also awesome young women who will be bought into who we are and where we are trying to go as a program both on and off the field," said West about his newest collection of talent. "They are also an extremely versatile class who have the ability to play in multiple spots within our structure and that excites me a lot about this group on top of bringing in a very good goalkeeper. They are joining an experienced group that just came off another conference title and NCAA Round of Sixteen appearance, and we are excited for the value that they will bring to the program."

Why Penn State Harrisburg? I chose Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer because I like Coach West's philosophy that he shared with me during my visit. Mackenzie Mowery and Julia Hughes were also very welcoming and answered all of my questions while on the campus tour. I like the level and style of play of the team and the girls seem to genuinely enjoy playing together. The facilities and campus are very nice and Penn State Harrisburg gives me the opportunity to pursue a degree in Marketing. I am very excited for my next chapter with Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer and I know it will help me grow and learn as a person and a player.

Coach West: I am thrilled Evalyn has decided to join us this spring. She has played for one of the top Division II programs in the country and that experience will be invaluable as she transitions to Penn State Harrisburg. Evalyn is a technically clean player with great passing range. She covers a lot of ground and is very good in the duels. She will bring a lot to our back five. On top of her ability as a player, Evalyn is extremely respectful and has a desire to work and learn. We are excited to have her as part of our program.

She is explosive, dynamic when running at players 1v1, can create goal scoring chances for herself and others and has a high IQ. She is also someone who is very respectful and gives her full effort in all she does. Her experience playing in the ECNL, the top level of club soccer will suit her well here at Penn State Harrisburg. I am excited for her to join us this coming fall.

Coach West: Brelin is a calm and composed midfielder with great technical quality who has the ability to turn under pressure, play killer passes and passes between the lines and runs off the ball extremely well. She has a big area of influence on the game with her engine and her IQ. She also is a great ball striker and has an ability to finish inside and outside the box with her ball striking ability. On top of these qualities on the field Brelin is also someone with the highest character, who does things the right way and has a desire to learn and grow. She covers a ton of ground, is clean technically and has an extremely high IQ and because of that can get herself and her team out of tight spots by herself. She will play most likely in the midfield for us. Giada is also extremely mature for her age and has a great desire to learn and grow as a player and person. Why Penn State Harrisburg? I chose Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer because from the moment I visited, I felt valued not just as a player but as a person. The coaches' belief in me and the opportunities on and off the field made it clear this is where I want to grow and compete.

Coach West: Scarlett is our only goalkeeper coming in this class and she is someone who loves the position and loves to learn and get better. She has great reactions, commands her box well, distributes well with her feet and has the ability to make the big save to win games. She is also someone who has a growth mindset and will give her best in everything she does, values we truly admire in our program and recruits when we see it lived out. These qualities will suit her well when she joins us in the fall, and we can't wait for her to get here.
