OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Penn State Harrisburg's field hockey team suffered its first setback of the season when it dropped a 4-1 decision at Stevenson on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 6.
Sadie Cook netted Penn State Harrisburg's lone goal, her first of the season, in the second half, with Astrid Comp adding the assist on the score. Goalkeeper Macenzie Mulholland made a season-high 12 saves on the day.
The Mustangs (4-0) scored a single goal in each of the first two periods to take a multi-score lead into halftime before finding the back of the cage twice in the third quarter to create more breathing room. Penn State Harrisburg (2-1) took advantage of a penalty corner opportunity and cut into the deficit thanks to Cook's strike off a Comp feed with 10:03 to play in the final period. Unfortunately for the visitors, the final push came too late.Â
