COLORADO SPRING, Colo. - Thanks to her stellar efforts to begin the 2025 campaign, Penn State Harrisburg field hockey player Ami Mattingly has earned national recognition from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA).

Mattingly earned NFHCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention recognition following her memorable Penn State Harrisburg debut over the weekend that saw her record a pair of hat tricks and rack up 13 total points. The NFHCA National Player of the Week program honors an offensive and defensive player of the week, in each division, throughout the season.

Mattingly helped lead the Lions to a pair of shutout victories while setting a number of single-game program records. In her first game with the program, the fifth-year player scored three times, including the game winner, in a decisive 5-0 win over Albright on Friday afternoon. She added a helper to set the single-game program record for total points (7). The forward followed it up with her second three-goal game in as many outings during a comfortable 4-0 victory over Goucher on Sunday afternoon. The Mechanicsburg, Pa. native twice matched the program's single-game scoring record (3) and was named the United East Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts.

Penn State Harrisburg (2-0) returns to action at Stevenson on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 6.
