COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Penn State Harrisburg field hockey players Sadie Cook, Macenzie Mulholland and Alexis Nasuta have been named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Watchlist powered by Performance Sports Events, as announced by the organization on Thursday morning.
Cook, Mulholland and Nasuta earned the NFHCA's annual preseason recognition after stellar seasons a year ago. The trio is among 175 student-athletes from 84 Division III institutions who have been named to the national watchlist.
The watchlist is intended to showcase Division III field hockey student-athletes with the strongest potential for consideration to the year-end NFHCA All-Region and All-America teams. To be nominated for the 2025 NFHCA Watchlist, student-athletes must have been previously recognized for their outstanding field hockey abilities within the past two years (NFHCA All-America, NFHCA All-Region, all-conference, Senior Nexus Championship selection, NCAA All-Tournament Team and/or U.S. National or International Team roster) and nominated by their NFHCA member coach.
Nasuta was named to the United East All-Conference First Team a year ago after starting all 16 games as the anchor for Penn State Harrisburg's back line. The Harrisburg, Pa. native helped lead the Lions to five shutout victories while racking up five total points thanks to a goal and three assists. She also recorded one defensive save and was named the United East Defensive Player of the Week in late September.
Cook turned in a breakout freshman campaign on the front line last fall, tallying six goals and 15 total points to go along with three assists. The Christiana, Pa. native netted a pair of game-winning goals, including the deciding marker in the team's first-ever game; a 1-0 victory at Lycoming in late August. For her efforts, she was named to the United East All-Conference Second Team.
Mulholland started all 16 games in goal last fall and earned nine wins defending the cage. The Carlisle, Pa. native was named to the United East All-Conference Second Team after making 87 saves with an .845 save percentage to go along with a 1.01 goals allowed average. She made a career-high 17 saves during a contest at Misericordia (9/28) and was named the United East Defensive Player of the Week in early September.
Penn State Harrisburg is set to open its 2025 campaign by hosting Albright on Friday afternoon.
