KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Penn State Harrisburg's men's basketball team was recently honored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for its academic success during the 2024-25 campaign.

As a group, Penn State Harrisburg earned the organization's Team Academic Excellence Award for the second year in a row, while recent standout Isaiah Eggleston was named to the NABC Honors Court.

In order to earn the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, a program must earn a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher after counting the GPAs of all players who competed during the 2024-25 season. To earn selection to the NABC Honors Court, an individual player must carry a GPA of 3.2 or higher during their junior, senior, or graduate seasons.

Eggleston earned his second NABC Honors Court plaudit after turning in a monster senior campaign that saw him voted to the NABC Division III College All-Star Game, named first-team all-region by both the NABC and D3hoops.com, tabbed the United East Player of the Year and named to the United East All-Conference First Team. The versatile big man averaged a team-high 17.8 points per game on 50.5 percent shooting from the field to go along with six double-doubles, 7.1 rebounds per contest and 1.8 blocks per game. The team captain completed his illustrious career with more than 1,150 total points, scoring exactly 1,000 of them during his three seasons at Penn State Harrisburg. The Roanoke, Va. native ranks ninth on the program's all-time scoring list. Thanks to his efforts in the classroom, the Communications major was recently named to the United East All-Academic Team for the second straight season.
