MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Thanks to their efforts in the classroom and on the court this past season, Penn State Harrisburg women's basketball players Jordan Carpenter and Ali Lister have earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District recognition.

Carpenter and Lister join former standouts Kendis Butler and Jayla Galbreath as women's basketball players to earn the distinction.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

For Carpenter, the academic all-district honor is the latest in a long line of achievements for Carpenter this season after she was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 4 Second Team, was tabbed the United East Player of the Year and earned United East All-Conference First Team recognition. She turned in a memorable final collegiate season, averaging a team-high 19.3 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. The graduate student shot an impressive 58.3 percent from the floor and 83.5 percent from the foul line. The Chester, Va. native recorded 14 double-doubles on the year and set single-season program records for points (520), field goals (182) and free throws (152), along with single-game records for points (34), field goal percentage (90.9 percent) and free throws made (17). The team captain was named the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) National Player of the Week in mid-December and earned seven United East Player of the Week awards this winter. Combined with her three prior seasons at Mary Washington, the transfer completed her illustrious career with 1,611 points and 1,076 rebounds.

Lister's versatility was on full display during her second and final season at Penn State Harrisburg and she was named to the United East All-Conference Third Team for her efforts. She led the team and ranked sixth among conference players in steals per game (2.8). The team captain also led the Lions and ranked seventh in the league with a 4.1 assists per game average. The Allentown, Pa. native was excellent at the charity stripe, shooting 81.5 percent from the foul line. Lister was second among Penn State Harrisburg players with a 5.7 rebounds per game clip and she added 9.3 points per contest.
