LATHAM, N.Y. - Penn State Harrisburg's women's basketball team was picked fourth in the United East Preseason Coaches' Poll released Wednesday morning, Nov. 5.
The Lions received one of 14 possible first-place votes after advancing to the quarterfinal round of the United East Championship Tournament last season. Back this season to help lead a young squad is United East All-Conference Second Team selection Mikayla Coleman, as well as frequent starter from a year ago in fellow sophomore Lauren Moffatt.Â
St. Mary's (Md.), the conference's runner-up last season, took the top spot in the preseason coaches' poll and received five first-place votes. Penn State Abington ranked second and also secured five first-place votes. The defending conference champions from Gallaudet were tabbed third and earned the final three first-place votes, while Penn College rounded out the top five.Â
Penn State Harrisburg will begin its 2025-26 campaign at Stockton on Saturday night, Nov. 8.
