MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Thanks to their success on the field and in the classroom this fall, five Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer players have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
Ciera Frick, Mackenzie Mowery, Ava Myers, Diana Pon and Kara Slavin earned CSC Academic All-District recognition after an outstanding 2025 campaign that saw Penn State Harrisburg finish with a program-record 16 victories, a fourth conference championship, a pair of NCAA Tournament victories and the first trip to the Sweet Sixteen in school history.Â
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Frick was a key contributor as an outside back for a defensive unit that shut out conference competition during the regular season and recorded 15 clean sheets this fall. The Chesapeake, Va. native tallied eight total points on the year thanks to six assists and one goal. She was named to the United East All-Conference First Team for her efforts.
Mowery, a United East All-Conference First Team selection, anchored a back line that posted 15 shutouts on the season and did not surrender a single goal in conference play. The Hummelstown, Pa. native helped limit opponents to just .78 goals and 5.3 shots per game. The senior also recorded six total points on the year, netting a pair of goals and adding two assists.
Myers was also a contributor to the defensive unit that racked up 15 shutouts on the year and held conference opponents to just four shots on goal during the regular season. In addition to her defensive prowess, the York, Pa. native got it done on offense as well, tallying 16 total points behind seven goals and a pair of helpers. For her efforts, the senior earned United East All-Conference Second Team recognition after being named the United East Championship Tournament MVP.Â
Pon turned in one of the best all-around seasons in the country this fall, ranking eighth in the nation in total points (48), ninth in total assists (12), 11th in game-winning goals (6), 14th in total goals (18) and 18th in shot accuracy (.676). The Miami, Fla. native set the single-season program record for points and assists and matched the single-season mark for game winners while ranking second in goals scored. Among active NCAA Division III players, Pon ranks fourth in career assists (33), ninth in total points (131) and 11th in goals (49). She completed her career as one of just five active players to record 40 goals and 30 assists. For her efforts, the team captain was named to the United East All-Conference First Team after twice being tabbed the United East Offensive Player of the Week.Â
Slavin anchored the other outside back position opposite Frick for a defensive group that did not allow a goal against conference opponents during the regular season and recorded 15 shutouts this fall. The Abington, Pa. native also added three goals, including one game-winning marker. The sophomore earned United East All-Conference First Team honors after being named the conference's defensive player of the week in October.Â
