MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's field hockey team has been included in the season's first NCAA Division III Regional Rankings.
Currently riding a program-record seven-game win streak, the Lions (9-1, 1-0 United East) rank fifth in the NCAA Region IV rankings. Penn State Harrisburg's lone setback came on the road against nationally-ranked Stevenson. The Lions secured a key victory over a fellow regionally-ranked program in Lebanon Valley last month.
Stevens tops the Region IV rankings, with Rowan, TCNJ and Misericordia rounding out the top four. Fellow United East program St. Mary's (Md.) ranks one spot behind Penn State Harrisburg in sixth, while LVC sits seventh in the initial rankings.
The Lions return to action when they travel to Cedar Crest for another conference matchup on Saturday morning.Â
