Volleyball Sweeps Penn College to Win Sixth In a Row

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's women's volleyball team swept United East foe Penn College by set scores of 25-22, 25-9 and 25-13 to win its sixth straight match on Tuesday night, Oct. 28. 


Hannah DeGregory finished with nine kills and two blocks, while Brianna Ondishin Ribon added six of her own to go along with 10 digs and three service aces. Nicole Dos Santos added 14 digs and four aces and Mackenzy Miller had 13 assists and five aces.


The Lions (17-5, 8-1 United East) opened the night by holding off Penn College (5-21, 2-7 United East) in the closest set of the match before flexing their muscle in a decisive second set that the visitors won by double digits. Penn State Harrisburg closed it out with another decisive double-digit victory in the third set to secure the team's sixth consecutive sweep. 


NOTABLES
- The Lions have won six straight matches. It is the team's longest winning streak of the season.
- Penn State Harrisburg finished with 16 service aces on the night.
- DeGregory tallied nine kills, six digs, two blocks and five assists. 
- Ondishin Ribon racked up 10 digs to go along with six kills and three aces.
