ANNVILLE, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Lebanon Valley in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 15.
The Flying Dutchmen (2-1) took an early advantage by sweeping doubles play. Penn State Harrisburg's top team of
Ava Shepps and
Kiersten Strohecker were topped 6-1 by LVC's duo of Sarah McComas and Catherine Stone.
Karly Anderson and
Megan Strohecker fell 6-0 to Katie Berra and Megan Martin in the No. 2 contest, while
Aubrey Gard and
Rosalia Mannino went down to Erika Badner and Nikki Denbowski by the same score.
M. Strohecker battled in the No. 5 singles matchup before falling 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 in three sets, while
Edison Curtis was bested by McComas 6-1, 6-2 in the top solo outing. Shepps was swept by Stone in the No. 2 contest, as was Mannino in the No. 6 pairing. Badner topped K. Strohecker 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 3 match and Anderson dropped a 6-1, 6-3 decision to Laken Kelly in the No. 4 contest.
With their fall season now complete, the Lions (0-2) will return to action and begin conference play in the spring of 2026.
