Box Score MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Playing in front of its home crowd for the very first time, Penn State Harrisburg's field hockey team continues to make history after earning a 1-0 victory over FDU-Florham on Wednesday night, Sept. 4.
Natalie Rocuskie netted the lone goal of the night off a penalty stroke with just over three minutes left in the contest which eventually sealed the victory for the Lions (2-0). Rocuskie answered the call and put her attempt past FDU-Florham goalkeeper Adrianna Goodwin to break the scoreless tie.
Penn State Harrisburg and the Devils (0-2) were evenly matched throughout the game, as both squads tallied 12 total shots. The Lions saw the most control on offense in the third period when the team had six penalty corners and six shots. The contest was nail biting until the very end before Rocuskie scored the penalty stroke following a melee that ended with an FDU-Florham defender on top of the ball at the goal line.
