Box Score WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - Despite holding advantages in all major statistical categories, Penn State Harrisburg's men's soccer team was forced to settle for a draw with Wilkes in a 1-1 stalemate on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 4.
After almost 60 scoreless minutes, the Lions (2-0-1) eventually struck first when the Colonels committed a foul in the box which gave the away team a free penalty shot from close range. Penn State Harrisburg called on senior Jaden Longdon to take the kick and he didn't disappoint which put the Blue & White in the lead.
Five minutes later, Wilkes (2-2) had a penalty kick of their own, but Penn State Harrisburg's goalkeeper, Hossam Aly, protected the net and kept the advantage in favor of the Lions. The Blue & White had seven shots attempts that they were unable to convert before Wilkes tied it up in the 80th minute with a laser to high right by Herbert Ramirez.
The last 10 minutes of the match went scoreless and without any shots on goal by either squad.
