Box Score LA PLUME, Pa. - Neither the wet weather nor Keystone could slow Penn State Harrisburg's offensive onslaught during a 7-0 shutout victory in each team's conference opener on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 29.
Seven different players found the back of the net for the regionally-ranked Lions (7-3-1, 1-0-0 United East), with Alex Afata, Tai Bhalla, and Colin O'Hara recording three points apiece after each scored a goal and added an assist.
The visitors wasted no time getting on the board when Kobe Harris opened the game's scoring in the second minute off an Aidan McWilliams assist before Tyler Madairy netted his second marker of the week 10 minutes later off feeds from Tai Ball and O'Hara.
O'Hara got into the scoring act with a goal of his own in the 23rd minute and back-to-back goals from Addis Tafese and Afata in the 37th and 42nd minutes, respectively, stretched the lead to 5-0 heading into halftime.
After the break, Bhalla converted his third goal of the season in the 62nd minute before Ethan Cortes capped the game's scoring with his first marker of the fall off a find from Cole Isaacs in the 76th minute.
Penn State Harrisburg's defensive effort was also impressive, limiting the hometown Giants (1-8-0, 0-1-0 United East) to three total shots and just one on target which goalkeeper Shayon Kashi turned away in the first half.
