MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Thanks to a big offensive day from Camryn Wettstone, Penn State Harrisburg's women's volleyball team swept its way to a valuable United East victory over Penn State Abington at the Capital Union Building on Saturday evening, Oct. 26.
Wettstone recorded the deciding point in all three sets on her way to a match-high 14 kills, while Hannah DeGregory added 12 kills of her own. Mackenzy Miller impressed from the setter position, posting 24 assists and five service aces for the Lions. Defensively, Kate Bukowski had a team-high 16 digs.
Penn State Abington (18-5, 5-3 United East) was the aggressor from start in set one, as the away team earned a 14-7 lead midway through the opener. Penn State Harrisburg (15-7, 6-2 United East) erased the seven-point deficit to tie the frame up 15-15 before going back-and-forth with the visiting Lions to fight to a 26-24 win in the first set.
The home team left no doubt in the second frame and rolled to a 25-13 victory to give Penn State Harrisburg all the momentum they needed going into the final set. In the third set, the hometown Lions earned a significant nine-point cushion that proved more than enough to carry the squad to a 3-0 sweep of Penn State Abington.

- Wettstone was the ending spark to each set against Penn State Abington thanks to her team-high 14 kills.
- DeGregroy posted a well-rounded match with 13 assists, 12 kills, six digs, a block solo, and a block assist.
