MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's women's volleyball team earned another United East Conference victory against Penn College on Thursday night, Oct. 17. The Lions swept the Wildcats by set scores of 25-16, 25-6, 25-14.
Julia Choe hit a major milestone, surpassing the 900-dig mark for her career. Camryn Wettstone had a team-high 11 kills, while Hannah DeGregory added eight and Ellie Brown tallied seven kills of her own. Brooklyn Sheridan impressed in her setter position, as she tallied 15 assists and also had five service aces and eight digs. Kate Bukowski led the team with 12 digs, while Choe had nine.
In the opening set Penn College (3-18, 1-5 UEC) got the lead early, but Penn State Harrisburg (13-6, 4-1 UEC) had a six-point run to get up 3-7 and never looked back from there to earn the set one win. The Lions were dominate in the second set, as the squad only allowed the Wildcats to score six points during the frame. In the final set of the night, Wettstone had six of her total 11 kills to lead the home team to another convincing 3-0 sweep.
