Box Score PITTSBURGH – Penn State Harrisburg's men's soccer team unleashed a second half barrage, scoring four goals after the break to take a commanding 5-1 victory from La Roche in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 5.
Five different players found the back of the net in Kobe Harris, Jaden Longdon, James Manns, Liam Gohn, and Alexander Benbatoul, with Longdon's second half marker proving the game-winning score. Longdon also added a pair of assists to tally four total points on the day.
Harris got the scoring started with a goal in the 31st minute off Longdon's first helper of the afternoon but the hometown Redhawks (1-8-1) pulled even just moments before the first half came to a close when Mohammed Alhazmi netted the equalizer in the 44th minute.
Things took a major turn when Longdon converted a goal off a Cole Isaacs assist in the 61st minute, opening the floodgates for three more scores. Manns increased the advantage to two with a marker less than seven minutes later before Gohn got into the scoring act in the 77th minute. Benbatoul put the cap on the scoring for the regionally-ranked Lions (9-3-1) in the 84th minute with an unassisted tally.
