Box Score CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer team earned their first United East conference victory on Wednesday night, Oct. 2 with a convincing 5-0 decision over Wilson.
Penn State Harrisburg (3-4-3) got on the board early in the first half, when Serenity Hill found the back of the net in the 21st minute. Although the Lions got off 14 shots in the opening half, Hill's marker proved to be the only goal scored going into the second half. The away team found their momentum in the final 45 minutes of the contest, as Katelyn Monette put Penn State Harrisburg up 2-0 thanks to an assist from Julia Hughes in the 53rd minute.
At the 64-minute mark, Hughes netted a goal of her own off a helper from Hill and nearly two minutes later Ava Myers found the back of the net on a penalty kick. Newcomer Abby Hobson capped the afternoon off with a marker to end the contest in favor of the Lions 5-0.
Wilson (7-2-2) was under pressure nonstop on Wednesday night, as Phoenix goalkeeper Rebecca Marakovitz was forced to make 11 saves against the Lions. Sydney Mulka and Alexis Valenta both played 45 minutes each and had a save apiece.

- Penn State Harrisburg topped every major statistical category with 26 shots, 16 shots on frame, and five corner kicks.
- Hill netted her first goal of the season and the 13th of her career and added an assist for good measure against the Phoenix.
